      Tender Mercies (Red River of the North #5) Book #5 in the "Red River Of The North" series is totally honest and lets you live through Snelling's character's eyes and hearts. I did not find it depressing in the least. After having studied genealogy and history, and loving the Christian influence in this whole series, I found it very good.
